Olearia paniculata, commonly called akiraho, is a species of shrub or tree, found only in New Zealand. The tree has yellow-green, oval-shaped leaves, with white undersides and wavy margins. It produces clusters of daisy flowers in late autumn. Makes a great dense, fast growing hedge or low shelter, especially on dry exposed sites. Vanilla scented creamy white flowers in summer. Intolerant of wet sites. Evergreen. Hardy.
