A robust native New Zealand tussock grass with attractive cream feathery flowers from October to January. Often used for habitat restoration, stream sides and roadside banks. Hardy plant that tolerates a wide range of climates and harsh soil conditions. A fast-growing, coarse, green, large tussock that is larger than A. richardii so provides more shelter. Top choice for single row farm shelter belts. Hardy. Evergreen.
